Angels Come in Many Forms

Hi everyone, it has been an incredibly long time since I posted, so I am so happy to be writing to you all again! I wanted to share a story with you! A story that is about a random act of kindness that my mom and I received this past weekend. It’s the type of random act that catches you completely by surprise!!

So, the story goes like this…while out doing a little bit of holiday shopping with my mom in Ticonderoga, NY, we first went to the dollar tree to pick up a few things…gift wrap, bows, and ribbon, etc.  As we went to the check out, my mom was first, then me, and then a woman came into line very quickly right behind us.  As the cashier was ringing up my mom’s items, I heard a voice from behind me say, “These two are on me.” I thought to myself, what did she just say? Did I hear her correctly? So, I turned to her and said, “I’m sorry what did you say?” and she said that she was paying from both my mom’s purchases, as well as mine and then wished us a Merry Christmas. I was speechless.  We both wished her a Merry Christmas and thanked her profusely after trying to explain to her that she didn’t need to do that for us.  But, she simply said that she wanted to and that it was the season for giving!

I encourage you all to see what you can do for someone in your life during this holiday season, whether it’s someone who is near and dear to you, or a perfect stranger.

To the angel who blessed me with her random act of kindness…Thank you! I will never forget it and I will continue looking for ways to pay it forward!
